Patients are seen by the midwife at the clinics by appointment

Family Planning
Contraceptive care is provided by all the doctors during surgery hours. Follow-up appointments are available through the practice nurse.
Minor Surgery
We do carry out some minor surgical procedures by appointment and the doctors will be happy to advise you on this.
Private (non-NHS) Work

For work not contracted for by the NHS, we charge according to the time taken.

Certificates and Insurance forms £12-£25
Driving/sports medical £100 plus VAT
Passport/driving licence signing £12 - £15 plus VAT
Character references £30 plus VAT
Vaccinations (not in NHS criteria) £12-£20
A course of Hep B (3 x injections) £64.50

Travel Immunisations
Please ask at reception for a travel form. Remember that we do not provide last minute vaccinations. Be aware that most vaccines take at least two weeks to become effective, some even longer. Plan ahead to avoid illness spoiling that special 'trip of a lifetime'. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS. A list of these charges is held at reception.
Please ask for a vaccination questionnaire at reception.
Flu Vaccination
An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes.
Please contact reception staff in October for details of vaccination dates and to make an appointment.
Special Surgery Sessions (Nurses)
Family planning and smears, diabetic and asthma checks and hypertension monitoring can be arranged in normal surgery hours with the nurse. (Regular checks are advised with the doctor or nurse.)
Stop smoking and healthy heart, well person and vaccinations are available in normal surgery hours.

• Eat five portions of fruit or vegetables every day
• Cut down on the amount of fried food you eat
• Try and keep within the ideal weight range for your height
• Drink more water and less sugary drinks
• Drink no more than one or two units of alcohol a day
