How Do I... Make An Appointment?
We will always offer you the earliest appointment we can, but if you wish to see a particular doctor you may have to wait for their next available appointment.
For ongoing problems or routine check-ups, it is obviously preferable to see the same doctor and we encourage patients to decide who their preferred doctor is and then book appointments accordingly.
Nurses
Our practice nurses can advise and treat a wide variety of problems 9.00 - 11.30am Monday - Friday and 4.00 - 5.30pm Monday - Thursday. You can make an appointment with them directly if you wish, rather than with the doctor. She will ask his help if necessary.
How Do I... Obtain Telephone Consultations?
If you need to speak to a doctor or nurse then please phone and ask to speak to the doctor/nurse on duty. The best times to ring are either 12 noon or 3.00pm. If the doctor or nurse is unable to speak to you at that time, the receptionist will take your telephone number and ask the doctor/nurse to ring you back as soon as they are available. We would prefer to ring you back on a landline.
How Do I... Obtain A Home Visit?
Home visits are only for patients who are physically unable to attend the surgery. We will always be happy to visit those who are housebound, but as house calls are more time consuming, you will always be encouraged to find a way to reach the surgery if at all possible.
For non-urgent visits please ring before 10.00am.
